COLIPI produces Climate Oil™ by fermenting renewable carbon from organic by-products or CO2 from point sources, resulting in an oil with a minimal carbon footprint that can be used as a direct replacement for unsustainable vegetable oils. COLIPI is developing technologies to keep carbon in the cycle, using recycled carbon and direct CO2 to produce hydrocarbons and other biomolecules. These compounds can be used directly in end-product formulations in a variety of industries, or as a feedstock in the chemical industry to support subsequent chemical modifications aimed at reducing dependence on fossil fuels and advancing the process of defossilisation.
